At Stagecoach Stables, we’re more
than just a boarding and lesson
facility—we’re a community rooted
in compassion, education, and
respect for the horse.

We’re dedicated to providing a safe, enriching, and ethical equine experience, where both riders and horses thrive in a space built
on values you can trust.
 

Our 97-acre facility is conveniently located just minutes from I-35, Hwy 30, and the Iowa State University campus in Ames, IA.

 

We offer multiple options for boarding, and a wide range of programming to serve the greater Ames community. We hope to meet you at Stagecoach sometime soon!

LESSONS

WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY

I can't say enough good things about Stagecoach. Between the staff and the facilities, it was a wonderful place to board my horse. The price you pay for board is also very reasonable.
The indoor arena is heated, which is really nice for riding in the Iowa winter. They're also doing some updates around the property like adding tie stalls to each barn.

  1. We are a family-owned facility under new ownership since Dec '21. 

  2. We have a full-time equine manager that lives onsite. 

  3. We offer full care, self care, and pasture board.

  4. All horses are turned out every day, weather-permitting.

  5. We feed high quality hay and round bales year round.

  6. We have a lighted outdoor arena, and 115'x80' heated indoor arena.

  7. We have a heated wash rack and two outdoor wash racks. 

  8. We have wooded trails on our ~100 acre property. 

  9. We have heated automatic waterers in all outdoor paddocks.

  10. We offer summer camps, lessons, clinics, and trail rides.
